1000 and one Sacher

Maybe it is the most beautiful Renaissance hotel in Central Europe: “The Sacher”, located in the Philharmonikerstraße No. 4, Innere Stadt, Vienna, Austria. It was founded in 1876 by the restaurateur and k.u.k. purveyor to the court Eduard Sacher. During all times many heads of state and celebrities resided in The Sacher: King Edward VIII., Wallis Simpson, Queen Elisabeth II., Prince Philip, Prince Rainier, Gracia Patricia, John F. Kennedy, Kofi Annan and many more till today. All halls were traditionally named after famous operas and its composers (for example: La Traviata, Carmen, Idomeneo, Die Zauberflöte, Madame Butterfly, Nabucco, Rigoletto, Leonard Bernstein etc.). All 152 rooms have still a wonderful romantic touch. Have a look at the awesome pictures :

We suggest to visit this wonderful sophisticated hotel and try the delicious “Sachertorte”!
